What should i get engraved on the back of my boyfriends ipod?Okay so my boyfriend's 19th birthday is on november 16th..I've decided to get him an iPod nano. I want to get something engraved on the back of it but I'm not sure what..
Our 1 year is November 14th and I call him 'my duck' (long story..its one of our 'inside jokes') if that helps at all..

There was no P mint mark in those days. I would recommend taking the coin to a local coin expert or two for an evaluation. The coin would be worth from $50 up to possibly $1000 based upon your description of the wear, but the "P" might actually decrease the value of the coin. There is an error known as a clashed die error where the two dies become damaged by smashing together with no planchet between them, and subsequent coins have the image of the damaged dies. This does not really sound like what has happened in your case, but it is possible. Again, a local coin expert or two would be your best help, or you might post a photo here. I hope that helps.

when you buy ipods from apple.com, theres a free engraving service. if not and you already have the ipod, you'll have to bring it to the professional engravers, but you have to pay a fee.

Factors include: where do you live (it can cost a lot more in metropolitan areas.), what type of script that you choose, the size of the script, how many characters per line, the grade of the metal–is it real, the experience of the engraver, do they do this free handed or do they use the machine, etc…
A good general guage would be that many professional engravers charge similar to tattoo rates for the area. What would a similar size tattoo cost in your area?
